It's Homecoming week @ Kayla's school....today being twin day. Kayla & Ashley dressed alike....Kayla came up with this "poem" when she was running for BHS Junior Class President & wanted to put it on a t-shirt.
Oh & she is the Junior Class President! :-)
Can you tell I'm a fan of LIGHTHOUSES? This is part of my bedroom decor....I purchased some and the others are gifts from friends over the years. Love, love, LOVE them all!
Today I checked my email on the way out the door to school & classes had been cancelled. I was going to MAKE myself go downstairs to the garage & unpack more boxes....until my BFF suggested I go to Tannehill. She said you would have spent that time in class & would not have been able to unpack boxes anyway. She makes it almost impossible to argue with her. So I gave in & went to Tannehill.
I started out studying, listening to the lecture, etc. & while doing so realized how tense I was. I packed everything back up into my backpack, put it in the car and started walking. All I heard was the water flowing, the birds chirping, the bees buzzing....you get the idea. I forgot I had a little piece of Paradise approx. 6 miles from home. My favorite time of year is FINALLY here and thanks to my sisters Christmas gift last year I have an annual pass to Tannehill....I will be spending a lot of time there this fall.
Gabi made this memory stone at The Amelia Center....it's to be put in a special place at home in remembrance of her little brothers....Ethan Reed & Evan Ryan! They would have been 9 months old today.
I am very blessed to have some amazing people in my life....I registered online to win tickets to this concert....I received an email with the subject line....online contest winner. I was ecstatic....I opened the email to realize I had won a family 4 pack of salad's from a local fast food chain. I had registered for that at the same time. :-)
ANYWAY....someone gave me 2 tickets to the concert. (Happy Belated Birthday to me). It was AWESOME....I have seen REBA in concert before....she is an incredible entertainer. George Strait & Lee Ann Womack were good but I'm a REBA fan & she rocked the house.
Kayla & I saw REBA in concert w/Kelly Clarkson in Bossier City a few years ago....that was off the charts. And of course when you throw Barbara Jean (aka Melissa Peterman) in the mix....you bust a gut.
