HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY ADDIE....

We celebrated Addie's 5TH Birthday in Gatlinburg. Breakfast at the Apple Barn, go cart rides at the Nascar Speedway, cake & ice cream at the condo and the grand finale....dinner at the Dixie Stampede. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl....I LOVE YOU! She was in the bed fast asleep a few hours later when we welcomed 2012.

Chair lift....

After dinner Kayla & I rode the chair lift....our first time to ride it at night, a little windy and a little scary. After that we or should I say SHE went shopping. It was nice having a condo right in the middle of it all because we could navigate better on foot than in the car. My SISTER always seems to pick vacation spots that everybody else and their mother chose too.

Christmas lights....

Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride....

Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg are a lot of fun. Last time we were there Kayla & I rode this ride. This time around we talked Howard into joining us. It's expensive and short but fun.

Ober Gatlinburg....

We spent the majority of the day at Ober Gatlinburg; 6 of us attempted ice skating....the other 4 were great spectators. There were several falls; one guy left his mark of blood on the ice when he fell and hit his head and a lady needed an ice pack for her knee. Obviously knee and elbow pads as well as helmets should be issued along with the ice skates.

Gabi & Mae Mae got armbands for unlimited rides on the carousel and Howard & Chris were on the last chair lift up to ride the Alpine slide. It didn't take long for the wind to pick up and us to feel the chill. We were not able to snow ski, snow board or snow tube because there was no snow but we made the best of it.

We stopped in Chattanooga on the way to Gatlinburg for lunch, Julien's choice and a good one at that.

Christmas Eve....

We all got together at my sisters house for Christmas Eve....including Carlisle. It was fun but what is a family get together without a little tension?

It's a good thing....

this blog is for me and that I don't have followers. My camera went to heaven and a new one has not been delivered by a stork, elf or anyone else for that matter. Once it is I can start taking pics and blogging my memories for me to look at down the road.
