Julien's play-off game.....

Last night was Julien's play-off game. I went in between classes so I wasn't able to attend the whole game. I did get to see him running like mad from first to second base, he ran right out of his shoe. The Slammers lost the game 26-18. They had a good season. Here's his biggest fan with Ga-Ga. Good job Julien.

Gabi's Awards Day

Gabi had her Awards ceremony yesterday. The Kindergarten classes walked out to Kenny Chesney's "Don't Blink". And yes, I cried. They sang two songs for us, "May There Always Be Sunshine" and "I am a Promise". In addition to her diploma she received a Writing award. Good Job Gabi. We're proud of you. Next year she'll have to leave Brookwood & attend the new Lakeview Elementary School which she's nervous about but I'm sure she'll do great.

COLLEGE

Well, I finally did it. I'm a full-time college student. It took me 17 years but here I am. I had my first class today, Fundamentals in Public Speaking. You all know me, I don't communicate well with others, I'm not a people person. This is going to be a hard class for me but I'm glad I'm getting it over with the first semester. Tomorrow I get to tackle Psychology & English. Then Math on Saturday.

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers please. This has been a long time coming and I really want to do well. Hopefully you all can attend my graduation in the future.

Babysitting classes

Kayla attended a babysitting class at the Homewood Community Center last Saturday. They taught her all the first aid skills, etc. She's now certified in infant/children CPR.

She (along with her assistant, Gabi) watched Mari Kynadee last night while her Mom was at Corbin's graduation and her Dad was at C'Jay's game.

CONGRATULATIONS...........

Corbin. My cousin graduated from High School last night. We attended a party for him on Saturday, we enjoyed the time with family & friends.

Congratulations Corbin. Good Luck and much success in all you do.

Mother's Day

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

We all went to Jim N Nicks for an early lunch, we had a good time, & enjoyed spending time together. Thank you C & J for joining us. As if you had much of a choice. :-)

Wedding

My family attended a wedding in Montevallo Saturday night. It was outdoors on an 80 acre farm and was incredible. The bride was brought in on a horse and buggy, she was stunning. As was her entire wedding party.

I don't have pictures to post. (I had surgery on my hand Friday & it's hard to do a lot of things, including taking pictures).

FND

My brother has been getting together as many of us as possible for Friday Night Dinners. We decided to take the girls' bowling after dinner. Hilarious. It's sad when a five & six year old stomps a 34 year old at bowling. It was fun & the girls were worn out. Gabi & Brianna fell asleep shortly after we headed home.

ADDIE

Addie's crawling! Her Mother said the official date was April 30, 2008!

Gabi

My beautiful niece was in her first beauty walk on the 3rd. She did good.

Here she is with "Taywa", her participation trophy, & her flowers. She had a great time dressing up & spending the day with her friends. We went out for Mexican afterward, Gabi had not eaten breakfast or lunch so she was HUNGRY! Oh did I mention she lost her 2nd front tooth just in time. She's snaggled!She was exhausted & slept like a rock!

Keep in mind I'm behind, this is from Saturday April 26th. Me, Mom, & the girls decided to make a day of it. We started off at Julien's game in Helena. Their team won 12-10. Probably their best game yet, they had their first triple play. :-) Good job Julien.

We left there & went out for lunch at Bryant's Seafood World then we were off to C'Jays game in Hueytown. They played a good game as well & walked away the winners, 12-9. Good job C'Jay. Part of C'Jays cheer team on the bottom right; Kayla, Mari Kynadee, & Gabi.

April & May

April and May are always busy months with ball games, beauty walks, weddings, proms, graduations, etc. Add that to almost everyone in the family being "under the weather" & it's made for a long month and a half.
