Bad blogger.....

So I got my hand slapped again!

My little sister, Jenn has done a wonderful job of being the family spokesperson for us over the past month http://www.babyhenderson.blogspot.com/! Thanks Jenn.

Funny how life is just suppose to go on, broken hearts and all. Our plates are so incredibly full, each of us dealing with our own schedules, etc. The support of our extended family and friends has been amazing, you have been our ROCK & we're grateful for each and everyone of you!!!

Happy Birthday

We celebrated C'Jay (7) & Mari Kynadee's (4) birthdays today. I had to leave for work before the party was over but everyone seemed to have a great time. The cakes looked yummy & they had an awesome turn out.

The girls....

Mary was "basically" a good girl the remainder of her time here, with a few exceptions. She borrowed the Starbucks ornament I bought for the tree & she rolled Gabi's tennis shoes.

Brianna was able to spend the night & they got to wear their matching pajamas. They don't get to spend as much time together as they use to, they had fun.

Back to school....

The girls were scheduled to go back to school on the 7th but because of a weather day, they went back on the 8th. I went back today with a full load & a not so nice schedule. On Mondays (12:30-4:00) & Wednesdays (12:30-1:45) I have Anatomy & Physiology II and on Tuesdays (11:00-12:15) & Thursdays (11:00-12:15) I have Human Growth & Development. Both classes are around lunchtime so if it's my week to work, I have to take a nap before class & a nap after class....which makes for one tired, grouchy Nonna.

I'll be relieved when this semester is behind me....I can apply to the Nursing program this summer. Getting closer; I don't know if I'm more nervous or excited.

Frozen.....

This is part of Million Dollar Lakes that we pass going in and out; as I was taking the picture all I could think about was the story that Idgie & Ruth tell on Fried Green Tomatoes, only this lake didn't end up somewhere over in Georgia.

UPWARD

Gabi started cheerleading today for Upward at a local Church. She loves it; it's a good activity to keep her busy on Saturday mornings & she gets to cheer with her really good friend, Shannon. They call Gabi "The Gabinator".

Ethan & Evan....

My sweet nephews were laid to rest in a private graveside ceremony this afternoon. It was by far the hardest thing we've ever had to do. Please continue to pray for Cecilia & Gabi, they have a long road ahead of them, taking ONE DAY AT A TIME!

It's amazing the support & prayers we've received during this difficult time.

Several people took Gabi for play dates, etc. just to keep her mind occupied and we are grateful. Several people brought food over, knowing the last thing we wanted to do was spend time in the kitchen. Most everyone felt helpless not knowing what to do, but their prayers and just knowing they were there helped a lot.

Thank you just doesn't seem like enough!

Flowers for the service....

We were out running errands the Saturday before the service; one of our stops was a local florist to buy flower arrangements for Ethan & Evan's service. The florist was closed & after Kayla saw one of the arrangements in the window with the price on it, she said she could make the arrangements for that amount. Plus she wanted to do something personal for the service. She made the spray plus 3 smaller arrangements; one for Ethan, one for Evan & one for Gabi to leave there for the boys. We were very proud of Kayla, the arrangements were perfect. She included 2 baby blankets, bottles & a pacifier.

Out like a light....

Kayla had her gall bladder taken out today; she took up residence in Mom's recliner because that was the most comfortable place for her. Mary was a big help in taking care of her; Mary was able to stay after Christmas considering the circumstances. Shhh, don't tell Kayla I posted these.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Our family is starting 2010 off rocky but we have an amazing support system of family & friends that will carry us thru. Kayla is having her gall bladder taken out Monday & we will have a private graveside service on Tuesday to lay Ethan & Evan to rest. Please continue to pray for strength for Cecilia as she continues to heal physically & emotionally. Pray for Gabi as she is still trying to find some kind of peace from this tragedy. And pray for the rest of us that we can be the rock that they need us to be.
