Finals....

I have my final in Speech today, English tomorrow, & Math Saturday. After Saturday I'll have three weeks off before the next semester starts. I'm doing well & don't expect any of the finals to be a problem, I'll just be glad when they're behind me.

Sweet Baby Girl

Addie is scheduled for an MRI at Children's this morning. Please pray for her and her Mom & Dad. She has to be put to sleep, her test is scheduled for 9. Addie is like the rest of the family, she likes to eat, she's not going to be happy about breakfast being postponed. We love you baby girl.

FRESHMAN Orientation

I took Kayla & her BFF Jeanie to Freshman Orientation Monday night. I think it was pretty overwhelming for both of them. It's a big change from Middle School. Kayla's classes are pretty much in the same vicinity, Jeanie on the other hand has to go from one side of the school to the other when changing classes. I can't believe these girls are 14, let alone that they're starting High School. A lot has changed there since I graduated 17 years ago, the school is bigger & OLDER. I'm sure they'll do fine. They'll be pros in a few weeks. Good Luck Girls!!

Today the girls & I had the opportunity to hang out with Addie again. Our friends Haley & Trey came over for a while. Here's Kayla with her hands full & a pic of the four of them together. It was a fun visit. Trey is a typical boy, like a ping pong ball, all over the place. It was fun watching him get into everything. Addie enjoyed the visit and was ready for lunch and a nap after Trey went home to do the same. Thank you Haley for bringing him over.

Busy Saturday....

Yesterday I had class from 8a-1p. After that I went home, changed clothes, & grabbed Gabi and Brianna. We spent the next six hours at Alabama Adventure. I intentionally left my camera at home; one less thing to worry about, two 6 year olds are enough. We left the park & I took the girls by McDonald's for Happy Meals.

Got back home, changed clothes again, then Kayla, Gabi, & myself went to Wal-Mart for school supplies, etc. $200 later we leave. Went by Blockbuster & rented four movies. Howard was hanging out with Chris, I called them & invited them down for movies so at 11pm we start watching movies. At 4am I finally call it a day. Three trips to Bessemer in one day, gas $4 a gallon, ouch! It was a long, busy day but it was very enjoyable and very much needed.

Now today, I'm working on my Speech for tomorrow plus my English paper that's due at midnight, let's rewind to yesterday. :-)

"Work in progress" party

Jenn & Chris had a "work in progress" party at their new house yesterday. She had a great turnout; the food was awesome & so was the time spent with family and friends. Here's Addie & Emma playing in the barnyard.

More gymnastics....

I took Gabi to gymnastics today. She had a good time & did a great job. Afterwards we went out to lunch then came home. I'm being a slave driver, she's cleaning the bathroom floor with a toothbrush. :-)

Happy 4th of July

Oh say can you see, by the dawn's early light! Kayla, Gabi, & I started the afternoon off at Alabama Adventure. Brian, Apryl, C'Jay, & Kynadee joined us late afternoon. We had a great time. Kynadee is off the charts, she has no fear, walked out with both knees skinned. Talk about no fear, C'Jay "loves" the Pirate Ship, it scares the crap out of me. We ended the day with fireworks, the kids watched from the tailgate of Brian's truck & loved every second of it. Thank you B, A, C, & K for letting us spend the afternoon/evening with you all. We'll have to do it again before the summers over.

6 Year Check-Up

Gabi had her 6 year check-up yesterday. She weighs 61 and 1/2 pounds and she is 49" tall. Which puts her in the 90th percentile. Can we put a book atop her head please?
